REIKI IS AN AWARENESS ENERGY, ITS NATURE IS PURE LIGHT

KOMYO REIKI KAI

History of Komyo Reiki

Japaneses put a lot of emphasis on their Reiki lineage, especially now that we are in search of the original method of its founder, Mikao Usui, lost over the years due to oral teaching and the changes made by different teachers. Precisely to allow the teaching of Rev. Inamoto to remain unchanged, Komyo Reiki Kai Italy did not add anything and just translated literally all the manuals of its founder. In this way it is possible to disclose the exact same type of education received in Japan.

The Komyo Reiki lineage is thus formed:
1. Mikao Usui
2. Chujiro Hayashi
3. Chiyoko Yamaguchi
4. Hyakuten Inamoto

Lineage literally means the succession of family members, from the Latin term linea meaning line of descent. As part of Reiki, lineage refers to the line of succession of the masters of Reiki starting from Mikao Usui.

KOMYO REIKI SCHOOL - JAPANESE MASTERS LINEAGE

MIKAO USUI TRADITIONAL METHOD

MIKAO USUI

He was born in the Taniai-Walls village on August 15, 1865. Founder of the Reiki discipline, he taught it in his Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai. He received the knowledge of Reiki during a long meditation on Mount Kurama and, given the extraordinary nature of what he had received, he decided to pass it on so that it could be of help to all. He died in 1926, four years after founding his school.

CHUJIRO HAYASHI

He was one of twenty students who became teachers under the guidance of Mikao Usui. Founder of the school Kenyu Hayashi Reiki Kai, he modified the discipline by making it more tecnical and "natural", though decreasing the spiritual part that was its mark. It is thanks to Hayashi Sensei if Reiki has crossed the borders of Japan, America and then spread around the world. He died in 1940 after forming 17 Reiki Masters.

CHIYOKO YAMAGUCHI

Born in 1921, she was started to Reiki at the age of 17 and she has been one of Hayashi Sensei's students. She was engaged in spreading of traditional Reiki until 2003, the year she died.

REV. HYAKUTEN INAMOTO

Born in 1940, he has been a student of Yamaguchi Sensei. The Rev. Inamoto, "Pure Land" Buddhist Monk (the very same religion of Master Usui) he brought back the Reiki discipline to the original methodology by focusing attention on the improvement of the spiritual state of the individual (from which subsequently the physical benefits). The "mental" feature to the Reiki approach is in fact an essential part of the discipline according to Rev. Inamoto, as it is our mind that control the body and not the other way around. The Rev. Inamoto founded Komyo Reiki Kai so that the original message of Reiki could be available to all, and he is currently still committed to the diffusion process of the Komyo Reiki method (now present all over the world).
